To be successful in this role you will need to be.

This position reports directly to the Training and Research Manager and performs highly independent and responsible work. Specific duties include:

• Providing immediate assistance in accessing and updating information regarding officer employment, training, and certification to criminal justice agencies and Commission certified training schools;

• Acting as a Security Administrator for ATMS;

• Assigning and deleting user access to the system, changing passwords, and coordinating general security for all criminal justice users of the ATMS system;

• Responsible for the review, approval and/or denial of documentation from criminal justice officers seeking certification;

• Coordinating the review and processing of applications for instructor and K-9 certification, and for out-of-state equivalency of training request;

• Coordinating and providing statewide training to criminal justice agencies and training schools relating to ATMS, statutes, rules, and policies and procedures; and

• Responding to public record requests on interpretation of statute, rule, and policy and procedures which affect the employment, training, and certification of all state and local law enforcement, corrections, and correctional probation officers, instructors, and K-9 applications who fall under the Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission authority.
